Writing Wednesday: Just released Library Fundraiser
A new fundraiser for the Tom Burnett Memorial Library in Iowa Park, Texas, is now out. Library Creatures, a part of The Haunted Libraries Anthologies series, contains stories donated by writers to help with the children’s programs at the library.
The Tom Burnett Library has a colorful history. If you ever meet up with JL Curtis, who spearheads the fundraiser and call for stories each year, ask him about Tom Burnett’s house (in which the library is located) and the ghosts in the library.
If you want to read more about the events at the library, the best source for information is at their Facebook page here or their government page here.
The authors included in the anthology are: Cedar Sanderson, Sherri Mines, Tom Rogneby, Laura J. Begley, Ted Begley, Richard Cartwright, Matt Green, Ross Hathaway, Matt Kent, L.A. Behm II, Claire W. Kiernan, Nancy Frye, Greg Radabaugh, Jesse A. Barrett, Christopher Markman, and Lee Allred. I’m familiar with many of the writers from other anthologies and the P-Con conventions, so I’m excited to read their new works. Jim Curtis and Amie Schultz edited the anthology.
Library Creatures is available in Kindle or paperback at Amazon. I’ve got my Kindle copy and look forward to reading the stories. I’ve been involved in the previous three years, but this year work and family had priority, so I’m cheerleading from the side. Let’s get them an orange tag and help the kids’ programs!
